"We are living in one of the most pivotal points of human history and every choice we make will IMPACT the world for generations to come."

The theme IMPACT

Carrying the theme, “IMPACT”, this year’s convention inspired delegates to embrace the call of making a positive impact on society through the adoption of innovations and technologies set to define the new future of work. “IMPACT” - in this sense - was all about ushering in a meaningful transformation that will reverberate across industries. It was all about looking at the world’s concerns and finding solutions that are simple yet revolutionary in their execution.

About #PHDigicon2020

"Given the limitations imposed by the global COVID-19 pandemic, the need for more effective leadership and technology has become all the more urgent. In response, we at PLDT—the Philippines’ leading ICT and digital services provider—have created several platforms of discourse for customers, global decision makers, and technology experts to convene and discuss novel ways of doing business. Among such venues was the annual Philippine Digital Convention (PH Digicon 2020), the country’s biggest and most prestigious digital thought leadership event. On its sixth year, the latest iteration of the convention proved to be the grandest and most impactful one even in digital format."

"It has been a year that is exceptionally difficult. To the point that the crisis has distilled our choices into two: adapt or exit, pivot or perish."

Chairman and CEO, PLDT Group

"We don’t know how long this is going to last. So, stopping until it’s over is no longer an option. Our customers will start to move and do the things they can do in light of what’s going on—preparing for this hybrid world we’re going to live in moving forward."

Chairman & CEO, Cisco

"The next generation enterprise will require heterogeneous services and heterogeneous networks. The combination of 4g, 5g, and other existing technology have to work seamlessly. We want to make sure that while we are moving them to digital operation, there is a full proof zero trust and zero touch environment in place."

President of Asia Pacific & Japan, Service Provider Business, Cisco

"One size fits all connectivity is no longer good enough. The most promising applications such as virtual reality, industrial IoT and so on require more elastic networks in order to give individual users what they want when they want it. That means network slicing, wiser use of the cloud, and connectivity solutions designed with deep cross functional capability."

President and CEO, Nokia

"The world has really changed. It has moved towards digital and towards connecting with your customers. Therefore, the technology to support you has evolved—from on-premise to the cloud and now to the industry cloud. We think of the industry cloud as cloud 2.0 and it is indeed your fastest path to digital transformation."

As long as I am being very accountable for myself and how I operate and have a very honest relationship with my team, I can only be as good as I am today. So, that’s how I will be going forward as well,
